Seller's Comments and Description:
Listing is for a set of 4 sauce/berry bowls by Homer Laughlin in the Georgian Eggshell shape/Countess pattern (HLC G3432). Countess was sold by Sears Roebuck in the 1940s-60s. The bowls are light yellow and white, with gold trim, "line and bead" embossed edge, and pink and yellow flowers.
The bowls measure 5-1/4 inches in diameter and 1-1/4 inches tall. No chips, cracks or crazing. There is very minor utensil wear in the bottom of the bowls. Overall they are in great shape for their age. The backstamps read "Eggshell Georgian Homer Laughlin Made in USA B 53 N 5" which dates this set to 1953.
Countess is similar to the Cashmere pattern. Differences: Cashmere has blue flowers while Countess does not; Countess has an extra rose hanging down from a middle cluster - Cashmere does not.
