Seller's Comments and Description:
This is a set of rimmed four (4) soup bowls by Homer Laughlin in the Liberty tableware shape, pattern L621. This pattern is characterized by a pink floral decal in the center (I've seen them described as apple blossoms, dogwood and magnolia flowers) and gold filigree on the rim. They are 8 inches in diameter.
The bowls are in great vintage shape - the decals are strong and show hardly any wear. The bowls have minimal to moderate utensil wear. The filigree is in overall great condition but is light in a couple of spots. No cracks or crazing; one bowl has a small chip on underside of rim and another has a small discoloration spot also underside of rim. See photos for details.
Homer Laughlin Liberty patterns were produced from the early 1940s to the 1950s. This decal is also known as Mary Ann on the tableware Piccadilly shape. The back stamps are hard to read on these bowls, but I think one has "52."
